Ministry Event Form - Church members only please.

We are thankful to the Lord that He has blessed us with an active church!  We are thankful to have so many people involved in helping spread the message of God’s love with all ages through different ministry events.  The help the process, we have created a Ministry Event Form (MEF).  This form will help everyone be aware of what is coming up and know the people it will effect, so that we can eliminate any misunderstandings and misinformation.  This way we can all work together to help make every Ministry or Event a smooth success.  This on-line form will send your information to the office.  MEFs will also be available in print form at the Information Center across from the offices.

>> Please Note:  If you are an ongoing ministry that meets on a regular basis, (i.e. Womens Circle) you do not need to fill out one of these forms for your normal meetings.

Please fill out your MEF and get your information into the office at least 3 weeks prior to the event so the congregation can be notified through the bulletin or newsletter (watch the dates for newsletter). Information will generally be listed in the bulletin for two Sundays prior to the event, unless there is a need for more lead time (i.e. advanced sign up or monies to be collected)  The sooner the office has all the details, the better informed the congregation (who will be calling) will be.  Giving the church a contact person who can answer any questions they have is essential and very helpful.

In addition to the bulletin and newsletter, you may also advertise your event in other forms.
Suggestions include:

A Poster on the bulletin board in the front hallway with a notation that copies or sign-up sheets will be at the information area.  Please note:

1.The bulletin board between the bathrooms is for General Information and events. Events will be posted by the office after the MEF has been turned in with all of the needed information.  Posters/fliers can then be made up based on that information.  If you would like to advertise an outside event (i.e. a concert), please turn that material into the office as well so that all events can be coordinated.

2.The bulletin board going downstairs is for Sunday School.  If you have information that pertains to Sunday School, check with Margie or Monica before you place it on the Sunday School bulletin board.

3.The Bulletin Board by the cards is for Missions.  If you have information that pertains to missions, please contact Sue Sandefur, Sue Williams or Jill Patterson.

Flyers can be put into the mailboxes of those that your event will pertain to.

The Sign out front.  If you would like your event listed on the sign, please notify the office as to exactly what you would like posted.  We will try to accommodate everyone’s events.  However, because there are sometimes multiple events in a week as well as important services, there can be no guarantee that all events will be posted or that they will be posted for a specific length of time.

Dare to Dream!

Because culture and needs change, it is becoming increasingly important to think “outside the box”.  We therefore encourage you to seek The Lord for fresh ideas to reach our congregation and community with His love.  Dare to dream…and share those ideas – big and small – with Pastor Ron or at an upcoming board meeting.  We would love to encourage and support you in making those dreams a reality

Cleaning up after events is very important.  It is the job of the event leader to see that the church and any equipment used is “put back the way that it was found” when the event is over.

This includes but is not limited to: sweeping the floors (mopping if necessary), checking bathrooms and cleaning if needed, washing and putting away all dishes, cleaning stoves & refrigerator, wiping areas if food is splattered, cleaning tables and chairs thoroughly (whether used at the church or elsewhere), taking any used dish cloths home to be washed & brought back, taking out the garbage, making sure all lights are turned off and the doors are locked.

**Please do not  leave left over prepared food in the refrigerator. If you have unopened items or things like condiments please take them home or contact the hospitality committee for instructions.

*** Please notify the Trustees immediately if the building or any equipment is damaged
